Strengthening women’s self help groups through financial inclusion, entrepreneurship training, bookkeeping support and livelihood development.
Since 1999, RDO has helped women in the Nilgiris build stronger livelihoods through self help groups, access to finance and practical enterprise support. The programme provides training in bookkeeping, savings, group leadership, adolescent girls’ development and income generating activities. Through linkages with Sanghamithra Rural Financial Services and ICICI Bank, women have gained access to credit, skills and confidence to participate more actively in family, community and local economic life.
