Emergency relief and rehabilitation support for communities affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami in Sri Lanka.
After the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, Aide et Action requested RDO founder N.K. Perumal to support relief operations in Sri Lanka. Working through local NGO partners in Galle and Ampara, RDO helped deliver food, clothing, shelter support and rehabilitation assistance to affected communities. The work focused on practical support in refugee camps and settlements during a period of major humanitarian need.
Key Outcomes
Approximately 4,600 tsunami affected people supported with relief and rehabilitation.
