With support from Sandoz Pharma, RDO improved school sanitation in the Nilgiris by installing prefabricated toilets in remote government and aided schools. The project responded to high absenteeism among adolescent girls caused by lack of toilet access during menstruation. Better sanitation helped create a safer, more dignified and more inclusive school environment.
