RDO was selected under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan to establish and manage 14 residential schools for Paniya tribal children in Gudalur. The schools provided full time teachers, cooked meals, uniforms, footwear and supportive learning spaces for children who had previously never attended school. The programme helped families overcome access barriers and brought first generation learners into education.
